Abstract
El Croton Lechleri, es un árbol del cual se extrae de una savia (conocida como Sangre de Drago), de color rojo a la cual se le atribuyen múltiples propiedades terapéuticas destacando su acción cicatrizante, razón por la cual resulta importante conocer su efecto sobre osteoblastos humanos. Objetivo: Determinar el efecto del Croton Lechleri, “Sangre de Drago®” sobre la viabilidad proliferación y citotoxicidad en osteoblastos humanos “in vitro”. Método: Estudio cuasi experimental “In Vitro”. Se realizaron ensayos para determinar viabilidad, proliferación y citotoxicidad de los osteoblastos en presencia de Sangre de Drago® en diferentes concentraciones, mediante las técnicas de MTT y citrometría de flujo-FACS. Resultados: Se observó viabilidad de los osteoblastos en presencia de las diferentes concentraciones de Sangre de Drago® y al contacto con Anexina V no mostró efecto citotóxico sobre los osteoblastos. Conclusiones: El Croton Lechleri “Sangre de Drago®” no fue citotóxica para la línea celular de osteoblastos permitiendo la viabilidad celular.
Abstract
The Croton Lechleri, is a tree which is extracted from a red sap (known as Sangre de Drago), to which are attributed many therapeutic properties highlighting its healing action, which is why it is important to know their effect on osteoblasts humans. Objective: To determine the effect of Croton Lechleri, "Sangre de Drago®" on the viability proliferation and cytotoxicity in human osteoblasts "in vitro". Method: quasiexperimental study "In Vitro". Tests were conducted to determine viability, proliferation and cytotoxicity of osteoblasts in the presence Sangre de Drago® in different concentrations, using MTT and flow cytometry FACS techniques. Results: viability of the osteoblasts was observed in the presence of different concentrations Sangre de Drago® and Annexin V showed no cytotoxic effect on osteoblasts. Conclusions: Croton lechleri "Sangre de Drago®" was not cytotoxic to the cell line of osteoblasts allowing cell viability.
