Abstract
La investigación está inscrita a la Universidad Santo Tomas, la facultad de Psicología y pertenece a la línea investigativa Psicología, subjetividad e identidades. Tiene como objetivo caracterizar la relación entre la comunicación médico-paciente y la calidad de vida en tres pacientes oncológicos. Para su realización se usó un método cualitativo de investigación, con un diseño narrativo tópico. El estudio se hizo con la participación de tres personas adultas sobrevivientes de cáncer que estuvieron en tratamiento durante un tiempo no menor a cinco (5) meses. La recolección de los datos se realizó mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas. En los resultados se logró encontrar que la calidad de vida se ve afectada en términos generales, sin embargo, no representan cambios similares para todos los casos. Al igual, se reconoce la importancia de la comunicación médico-paciente, especialmente la subcategoría de apoyo emocional, ya que permite sobrellevar la enfermedad.
Abstract
The research is registered to the Santo Tomas University, the faculty of psychology and the Psychology, Subjective and identities research line. It aims to characterize the medical communication and relationship between doctors and patient, besides the quality of life in three adult cancer patients. For your embodiment a qualitative research method was used. The study was conducted with a population of not less than three (3) participants who are or have been diagnosed with cancer or are cancer survivors in the cycle of adulthood and who carry or have taken a treatment for not less than five (5) months. Data collection was done through semi-structured interviews. In the results it is possible to find that the quality of life is affected in general terms; however, they do not represent similar changes for all cases. Likewise, the importance of communication between the doctor and the patient is recognized, especially the sub category of emotional support, since it allows the disease to be carried away.
