    Abstract
On this work we are going to travel through the concept of presence which is the core of the research named For a political poetic: presence and ankoku butoh. Observing some pillars that sustain the understanding of presence developed by Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht, we are going to interconnect it more precisely to the scenic presence of the japanese dancer Tatsumi Hijikata. Therefore, we are going into this artist’s work more deeply, uncovering in his proposal of corporeal research the key for the presence. Not by chance, we are going to permeate the corporeal qualities of shintai and nikutai which are distincts possibilities of this body that dances.
