Abstract
El proyecto tiene como finalidad comparar las propiedades físico-mecánicas de una mezcla asfáltica convencional y una con grano de caucho reciclado (GCR); con base en resultados obtenidos en pruebas de laboratorio realizadas sobre mezclas fabricadas por distintas plantas que se dedican al mantenimiento de la malla vial de Bogotá. Esta investigación tuvo como contribución establecer respuestas a diferentes incógnitas que se presentan a la hora de elegir con cuál de las dos mezclas asfálticas beneficiaría más una obra vial evaluando su relación beneficio / costo y la reducción de espesores que se debería tener en cuenta cuando se diseña con la mezcla GCR.
Abstract
The purpose of the project is to compare the physical-mechanical properties of a conventional asphalt mix and one with recycled rubber grain (GCR); based on results obtained in laboratory tests carried out on mixtures manufactured by different plants that are dedicated to the maintenance of the Bogotá road network. The contribution of this research was to establish answers to different unknowns that arise when choosing which of the two asphalt mixtures would benefit the most a road work, evaluating its benefit/cost ratio and the reduction in thickness that should be taken into account when designing. with the GCR mixture.
