This book presents a reflection on the cultural heritage that we bring with us and that we take care of reproducing, generally without any awareness of its origin or its implications. The approach to the historical development of the ideas that have been produced by the great thinkers on the nature of the human being and the place that his body occupies in it and its relationship with educational proposals, constitutes a contribution to approach the understanding of the principle of our prejudices, and to look for alternatives of transformation of the educational curricular scenario of Physical Culture with greater coherence in the concept of "integrality" of the human being.
The text starts from the analysis of the diverse conceptions of philosophical anthropology, which from ancient times to contemporary times have been present in philosophers, expressed in the respective contexts of Physical Culture and influenced in its conception and practice. This allows him to identify the anthropological approaches: dualist, monist and the so-called unicist -in the inclusive not exclusive sense- in which he bases the proposal as the final horizon of the work.
