Abstract
El proyecto tiene como fin desarrollar un hostal en el Molino Sugamuxi, ubicado en Sogamoso, Boyacá. El objetivo es preservarlo mediante la reutilización pues se encuentra en abandono y esto ha ocasionado su deterioro, un hecho lamentable ya que esta edificación cuenta con un valor arquitectónico, simbólico e histórico que se reafirmó mediante la encuesta realizada a la comunidad donde se evidenció su importancia. Durante el proceso de diseño se hizo evidente la necesidad de adicionar un volumen para cumplir con el área necesaria, esto se realizó de manera respetuosa con el volumen original y haciéndose notable la unión armoniosa entre pasado y presente mediante dos estilos de diseño arquitectónico que son la arquitectura industrial y la contemporánea.
Abstract
The project aims to develop a hostel in the Sugamuxi Mill, located in Sogamoso, Boyacá. The objective is to preserve it through reuse because it is in abandonment and this has caused its deterioration, a regrettable fact since this building has an architectural value, symbolic and historical that was reaffirmed by the survey conducted to the community where its importance was evidenced.
During the design process it became evident the need to add a volume to meet the required area, This was done in a respectful way with the original volume and making noticeable the harmonious union between past and present through two styles of architectural design that are industrial and contemporary architecture.
