El presente artículo quiere iluminar la famosa sentencia atribuida al obispo tomista Josep Torras i Bages “Cataluña será cristiana o no será” mediante una reflexión de la doctrina agustiniana acerca de las dos ciudades; la lectura contemporánea de Agustín que se propone tendrá especialmente en cuenta las aportaciones de la Constitución Lumen Gentium del Concilio Vaticano II.This article aims to illuminate the famous sentence attributed to the Thomistic bishop Josep Torras i Bages "Catalonia will be Christian or will not be" through a reflection of the Augustinian doctrine about the two cities; the contemporary reading of Augustine that is proposed will take special account of the contributions of the Constitution Lumen Gentium of the Second Vatican Council.
