Abstract

This report presents the results of the various activities carried out in the SHWR (Seedbed in Hydrology and water resources management) water resources research hotbed of the Santo Tomas Sectional University of Tunja, where the populations found in rural areas of The municipalities in general do not have full knowledge of how various aspects of the management of the municipality's water and ecological resources are developed. This case study focuses on the municipality of Oicata in the department of Boyacá in which, by managing the methodology that establishes the use of the GWI rural watershed management index, it was possible to determine how suitable the municipality is on water issues and ecological so that anyone in the community can understand this information.
