Abstract
Este estudio de caso describe el proceso de un grupo de estudiantes de noveno grado en un proceso de lectura y escritura en un colegio jesuita de Bogotá, Colombia. Este estudio proporciona evidencia del desarrollo de la habilidad de escritura de los estudiantes a través del desarrollo de algunas sesiones de lectura; las conexiones que hicieron entre su primera lengua y el inglés; y la relación que encontraron con sus propias creencias, pensamientos y el contexto en el que viven.
Abstract
This case study describes the process of a group of ninth grade students in a reading and writing process in a Jesuit school in Bogotá, Colombia. This study provides evidence of the development of the students´ writing skilll through the development of some reading sessions; the connections the made between their first language and English; and the relation they found with their own beliefs, thoughts, and the context they live in.
