Abstract
En el marco de la investigación “Educación, Derechos Humanos, Culturas de Paz y No Violencia en la Escuela Latinoamericana”, se realizó una revisión documental para comprender las condiciones que se están posibilitando en las instituciones educativas de América Latina para garantizar la vida digna de los niños, las niñas y los adolescentes a través de la promoción y garantía del derecho a la participación. Del análisis de 47 artículos de corte investigativo, publicados desde el año 2012 al 2017, se identificó que la escuela es asumida como el principal espacio de participación de los niños, las niñas y adolescentes, sin embargo, la garantía de este derecho en las instituciones educativas de Latinoamérica es muy limitada y aunque se han posibilitado avances en cuanto a política educativa para promover la participación, como la propuesta de contenidos y competencias curriculares y el establecimiento de mecanismos formales de participación como la constitución de los consejos escolares y su participación en la toma de decisiones y en la gestión escolar, los resultados en su aplicación y ejecución no son los esperados.
Abstract
In the framework of the research "Education, Human Rights, Cultures of Peace and Non-Violence in the Latin American School", a documentary review was made to understand the conditions that are being made possible in educational institutions in Latin America to guarantee the dignified life of children and adolescents through the promotion and guarantee of the right to participation. From the analysis of 47 research articles, published from 2012 to 2017, it was identified that the school is assumed as the main participation space for children and adolescents, however, the guarantee of this right in the institutions of Latin America is very limited and although progress has been made in terms of educational policy to promote participation, such as the proposal of competencies and curricular contents and the establishment of formal participation mechanisms such as the constitution of school councils and their participation in the decision-making and in school management, the results in its application and execution are not as they were expected.
