Abstract
Los locutores hablaron sobre la muerte: ¿por qué es tan difícil hablar de la muerte?, ¿existe una sola forma de asumir la muerte o de relacionarnos con los difuntos?, ¿qué tradiciones relacionadas a la muerte conoces que sean extrañas para el contexto colombiano? El invitado, Jorge Tarquino, ofreció su perspectiva sobre la relación entre los contextos culturales y cómo estos afectan las prácticas fúnebres de algunos lugares. Al finalizar la sesión, se discutió si el 31 de octubre debería celebrarse en Colombia Halloween o el día de muertos.
Abstract
The speakers talked about death: why is it so difficult to talk about death, is there only one way to assume death or relate to the deceased, what traditions related to death do they know that are foreign to the Colombian context? The guest speaker, Jorge Tarquino, offered his perspective on the relationship between cultural contexts and how these affect funeral practices in some places. At the end of the session, there was a discussion on whether Halloween or Day of the Dead should be celebrated in Colombia on October 31.
