La madera como alternativa viable en la construcción en Colombia.

Abstract
La madera es un material que tiene propiedades físicas y mecánicas que le permiten resistir diferentes tipos de cargas, es por esto que ha sido utilizado a través de los años como un material de construcción aunque de manera artesanal en Colombia. A raíz de la visita a la universidad de Sao Paulo pudimos evidenciar la relevancia de impulsar alternativas en la construcción que busquen contribuir significativamente a reducir el impacto medioambiental de la mano con una economía sostenible y que además, cuenta con un potencial de crecimiento significativo, por lo cual, hay que mirar sobre la experiencia de países como Brasil, que cuentan con importantes avances técnicos y cuyo éxito radica en un desarrollo académico e industrializado del sector.
Abstract
Wood is a material that has physical and mechanical properties that allow it to resist different types of loads, which is why it has been used over the years as a construction material, albeit in an artisanal manner in Colombia. As a result of the visit to the University of Sao Paulo we were able to demonstrate the relevance of promoting alternatives in construction that seek to contribute significantly to reduce the environmental impact hand in hand with a sustainable economy and that also has a significant growth potential, therefore, we must look at the experience of countries like Brazil, which have significant technical advances and whose success lies in an academic and industrialized development of the sector.
