Abstract
El turismo desempeña un papel importante en la economía y el desarrollo de Villa de Leyva al proporcionar ingresos, empleos y oportunidades de crecimiento. Además, contribuye a la preservación de su patrimonio cultural y a su proyección como un destino turístico. (Casa del primer congreso, 2020). El problema turístico del municipio está relacionado con el servicio de chivas, que ofrece atractivos recorridos por el pueblo. Sin embargo, la insuficiente regulación de rutas y horarios provoca congestiones y retrasos. Además, la mala seguridad vial aumenta el riesgo de accidentes. Se utilizó una metodología de análisis interno y externo de las empresas prestadoras de vehículos turísticos, la cual, permite conocer de manera descriptiva y numérica la situación actual del sector y poder planear una propuesta de mejora. Se llegó a la conclusión de que se deben mejorar las rutas de las chivas, preservan el patrimonio cultural y garantizando un movimiento regulado y seguro. La cooperación entre el municipio y los operadores turísticos es necesaria para asegurar el éxito de estas mejoras y preservar la identidad histórica y cultural de Villa de Leyva.
Abstract
Tourism plays an important role in the economy and development of Villa de Leyva by providing income, jobs, and growth opportunities. It also contributes to the preservation of its cultural heritage and its projection as a tourist destination. (Casa del primer congreso, 2020). The municipality's tourism problem is related to the Chivas service, which offers attractive tours of the town. However, insufficient regulation of routes and schedules causes congestion and delays. In addition, poor road safety increases the risk of accidents. A methodology was used for internal and external analysis of the companies that provide tourist vehicles, which provides a descriptive and numerical description of the current situation of the sector and allows planning a proposal for improvement. It was concluded that the Chivas routes should be improved, preserving the cultural heritage and guaranteeing a regulated and safe movement. Cooperation between the municipality and tour operators is necessary to ensure the success of these improvements and preserve the historical and cultural identity of Villa de Leyva.
