Tesis de pregrado, Universidad Santo Tomás, Villavicencio.http://hdl.handle.net/11634/18440La Reserva Forestal Protectora Vanguardia ubicada al interior de las veredas Vanguardia, San José Bajo y Puente Amarillo del municipio de Villavicencio, es un área protegida que presenta restricciones en cuanto al desarrollo de actividades económicas y limitaciones para el uso del suelo; la comunidad local ha venido realizando prácticas en torno al senderismo de manera inadecuada, como una alternativa de desarrollo económico; esta actividad se ha desarrollado sin una planificación basada en criterios técnicos y sin tener en cuenta el impacto ambiental provocado a los componentes bióticos de la Reserva. Por tal razón, surgió la necesidad de determinar senderos ecológicos interpretativos como herramienta de planificación del ecoturismo y conservación ambiental por medio de tres fases: en la primera, se identificaron tres senderos (Sendero Saltarín Barbiblanco, Sendero El Zocay y Sendero Cascada Aguas Claras) por medio de la planeación participativa, la realización del inventario y evaluación de atractivos turísticos; esto se complementó con la cuantificación de la capacidad de carga turística mediante la metodología de Cifuentes (1992), obteniendo como resultado para el Sendero Saltarín Barbiblanco 148 visitas/día , Sendero El Zocay 56 visitas/día y Sendero Cascada Aguas Claras 64 visitas/día. En la segunda, a partir de la información obtenida se diseñaron las rutas de los senderos con sus respectivas estaciones interpretativas y señalización (preventiva, informativa y restrictiva) a través del manual para la modificación de senderos interpretativos en ecoturismo. Finalmente, en la tercera, se realizó la valoración de estos a través de una matriz de influencia/dependencia para su jerarquización, con lo que se consideraron y cualificaron las características principales de cada sendero. Así, el proyecto da cuenta de considerar tres senderos que cumplen, en mayor o menor medida, con elementos ecológicos que pueden ser usados e interpretados de manera que permita una adecuada planificación del ecoturismo y conservación ambiental.The Vanguardia Protective Forest Reserve located within the Vanguardia, San José Bajo and Puente Amarillo districts of the municipality of Villavicencio, is a protected area that has restrictions on the development of economic activities and limitations on land use; the local community has been carrying out practices around hiking in an inadequate manner, as an alternative for economic development; this activity has been developed without planning based on technical criteria and without taking into account the environmental impact caused to the biotic components of the Reserve.
