Bogotá, Colombiahttp://hdl.handle.net/11634/14587The objective of this investigation was to establish improvement actions to the set of practices, elements and instruments that make up the strategic direction dimension and planning of the integrated planning and management model - MIPG, adopted by the agencies and entities of the national order of the Executive Branch in Colombia and which is in charge of give the guidelines to define the strategic route that guides the institutional management of public entities, as well as guiding organizations. For this, a study was carried out exploratory and descriptive type where it was possible through the revision of theoretical approaches, the identification of the challenges and problems and good practices of the entities to establish actions of improvement to the dimension of strategic direction and planning of MIPG.The objective of this research was to establish actions to improve the set of practices, elements and instruments that make up the dimension of strategic direction and planning of the integrated planning and management model - MIPG, adopted by the agencies and entities of the Executive Branch in Colombia and which is in charge of giving the guidelines to define the strategic route that guides the institutional management of public entities, as well as guiding organizations.
