Ambas edificaciones se conectan tanto en fachada como en su espacialidad interna formando una sola unidad. El anexo contemporáneo se dispone en 4 niveles y un sótano con la finalidad de densificar en el subsuelo, evitando así interferir con las dimensiones del inmueble patrimonial. Todos los espacios de circulación, estancia y lectura de la biblioteca están orientados a la casa patrimonial pudiendo observarla desde cualquiera de estos lugares.The Pastor Restrepo Library is part of the plan to create a new hub of cultural development in downtown Medellín. It is situated alongside the homonymous heritage building on the southwestern corner of Bolívar Park in the heart of the city. Both buildings are connected in both facade and internal spatiality, forming a single unit. The con temporary annex is arranged over 4 levels and a basement, aimed at densifying underground to avoid interfering with the dimensions of the heritage building.
