Cuando una organización decide implementar más de un sistema de gestión se presenta la necesidad de integrar dichos sistemas de gestión, es decir articularlos para incrementar sus beneficios; la ruta que se debe seguir para llevar a cabo una completa integración, depende del estado inicial de articulación entre los sistemas de gestión, lo que se conoce como el nivel de madurez de la integración (Domingues et al., 2016; Dragomir et al., 2017). Diversas investigaciones a nivel mundial se han ocupado del tema de medir el nivel de madurez de la integración de sistemas de gestión, cada una de ellas en contextos diferentes y aplicando diversas metodologías (Dragomir et al., 2017; Roseman, 2005). La Maestría en Calidad y Gestión Integral, que desarrollan la Universidad Santo Tomás y el Icontec, viene trabajando este tema con el fin de disponer de un instrumento para evaluar e nivel de madurez de la integración de sistemas de gestión en organizaciones pyme colombianas y latinoamericanas, debido a que los modelos existentes se orientan a organizaciones grandes ubicadas en países industrializados (Hernández & Parra, 2018; Bonilla & Martínez, 2016). Los recientes desarrollos investigativos de la Maestría en Calidad y Gestión Integral muestran la necesidad de realizar una reconversión del instrumento para medir el nivel de madurez de la integración de sistemas de gestión que elaboraron Hernández y Parra (2016) para que se ajuste a las propuestas de integración que se plantean desde la Maestría. Las investigaciones realizadas en materia de evaluación del nivel de madurez del Sistema de la Gestión de Calidad y de la integración de sistemas de gestión en las organizaciones son pertinentes para el desarrollo de este trabajo Dado que permitirá recabar datos e información necesaria a fin de reconstruir una herramienta para la evaluación cualitativa y cuantitativa las variables de integración del SIG, así como los elementos clave de la construcción de SIG, arrojando oportunidades de mejora y fortalezas que permiten la mejora continua y el fortalecimiento de la gestión relacionada con la certificación del SIG.Management systems based on international technical standards have a growing application in organizations around the world (Nunhes et al., 2016). The recent research developments of the Master in Quality and Integral Management show the need to carry out a reconversion of the instrument to measure the level of maturity of the integration of management systems that Hernández and Parra (2016) elaborated so that it adjusts to the proposals of integration that arise from the Master.
