Su pensamiento parte de la necesidad de una reflexión filosófica emancipadora y decolonial a los problemas urgentes de la región, manteniendo la importancia de los estudios especulativos y críticos que hacen de puente entre la realidad y lo real, entre lo teórico y lo práctico; en los que se toma la historia como fuente de reflexión para repensar al sujeto desde su identidad propia la cual le impulsa a la revolución, entendida como ejercicio de reivindicación cultural e histórica.This article approach the thought of José Carlos Mariátegui (1894 - 1930) who found in the Marxist socialism a civilizatory alternative for the socio-political crisis of Peru and hence, of all Latin America.
