Colombia.http://hdl.handle.net/11634/15240Remitirse a las particularidades de la labor investigativa de los estudiantes de la facultad de sociología de la Universidad Santo Tomás entre 2010 y el 2017, requirió de la realización de un breve ejercicio de sistematización de la información consignada en el repositorio de la USTA, con el fin de identificar las características más relevantes de la producción investigativa que se gesta en esta comunidad académica. En consonancia con lo anterior, la presente sistematización se valió del enfoque cuantitativo y sus técnicas de recolección de información para identificar los hitos y trayectorias investigativas por medio del análisis de fuentes documentales; posteriormente, a través del análisis descriptivo, se explicaron y describieron las particularidades de la producción investigativa haciendo uso de la estadística descriptiva. Dicho lo anterior, se pudo evidenciar que la producción investigativa tiene mayor representatividad si en su desarrollo refleja la importancia de la labor investigativa dentro de la praxis sociológica y los procesos de formación investigativa, en vez de referirse a la mera acumulación de conocimiento. Por otro lado, la generación de conocimiento y su impacto al interior de la academia, permite comprender la importancia de consolidar el ejercicio sociológico por medio de la labor investigativa.In Refering to particularities of the investigative work of the students of the faculty of sociology of Saint Thomas University between 2010 and 2017, required the carrying of a systematization of the information consigned in the USTA repository, with the in order to identify the most relevant characteristics of the research production that takes place in this academic community. In line with the above, the present systematization used the quantitative approach and its techniques for gathering information to identify the milestones and research trajectories through 4 the analysis of documentary sources; Subsequently, through the descriptive analysis, the particularities of the research production were explained and described making use of the descriptive statistics. Said the above, it was possible to demonstrate that the research production has greater representativeness if in its development it reflects the importance of the investigative work within the sociological praxis and the processes of investigative training, instead of referring to the mere accumulation of knowledge.
