Se implementó el método de búsqueda temática en las plataformas Scopus, Web of Science, Scimago, LA Referencia y Scielo con el fin de obtener un punto de vista mundial y de América latina. Se encontró que a nivel mundial el país que lidera la producción científica en agroturismo es Estados Unidos y en América latina es Brasil, por su parte Colombia no tiene una participación relevante a nivel mundial, pero sí a nivel local. Aunque cabe resaltar que es poco el aporte de América latina frente a la producción mundial.The main objective of this text is to apply the knowledge of informational research to characterize the main countries, magazines, universities and institutions in the scientific production on agritourism. The thematic search method was implemented on the Scopus, Web of Science, Scimago, LA Reference and Scielo platforms in order to obtain a global and Latin American point of view. It was found that at the world level the country that leads the scientific production in agrotourism is the United States and in Latin America it is Brazil, for its part, Colombia does not have a relevant participation at the global level, but at the local level.
