Por su biodiversidad el Chocó cuenta con una extensa zona selvática y en ella habitan cantidades de: aves, reptiles y toda clase de mamíferos que hacen a la región única y pluri-biodiversa. Para nadie es desconocido que este departamento experimenta dos caras de la moneda, por un lado, su extensa biodiversidad, riqueza minera e hídrica repuntan al Chocó como uno de los departamentos más importantes en materia ecológica para Colombia y el sello que permeen en la corrupción, el abandono estatal y la violencia, aspectos que le han costado una tergiversación e imaginarios negativos de una región sin Dios ni ley a nivel nacional.The Chocó department is located to the west of the country in the Pacific region. It is located in a privileged place, as it is the only place in the country that borders two oceans: Pacific and Atlantic, considering itself as ''The best corner of America''. For its biodiversity the Chocó has an extensive jungle area and in it inhabits quantities of: birds, reptiles and all kinds of mammals that make the region unique and multi-biodiverse.
