Bucaramanga, Colombia.http://hdl.handle.net/11634/35472Para un programa educativo resulta de gran importancia conocer y evaluar en diferentes aspectos al graduado, aspectos que permiten hallar información valiosa y generar estrategias para mejorar la calidad del servicio ofrecido; en este caso la educación superior. En este estudio se pretende conocer el posicionamiento del graduado del programa de ingeniería industrial de la Universidad Santo Tomás seccional Bucaramanga; para llevar a cabo el proyecto fue necesario elaborar un instrumento para recolectar información, en este caso una encuesta estructurada. La información obtenida se analizó a través de técnicas de minería de datos, las cuales son la forma más precisa para obtener información pertinente acerca de un tema específico. Luego de recolectar la información, se procede a limpiar y codificar, con el objetivo de ingresar al software estadístico SPSS con el que se realizaron los análisis y se aplicaron las diferentes técnicas estadísticas; con la información recolectada se elaboraron una serie de gráficos que muestran los principales hallazgos encontrados y las correlaciones entre las variables en estudio. Además de esto se realizó un análisis profundo de la información recolectada por medio de una matriz DOFA, con la que se pretende generar estrategias que permitan el fortalecimiento del programa de ingeniería industrial y el mejoramiento del posicionamiento del graduado en el mercado laboral.For an educational program, it is of great importance to know and evaluate the graduate in different aspects, aspects that allow finding valuable information and generating strategies to improve the quality of the service offered; in this case higher education. In this study it is tried to know the position of the graduate of the program of industrial engineering of the Universidad Santo Tomás, sectional Bucaramanga; To carry out this study, it was necessary to develop an instrument to collect information, in this case a structured survey. The information obtained was analyzed through data mining techniques, which are the most accurate way to obtain pertinent information about a specific topic. After collecting the information, we proceed to clean and encode, in order to enter the SPSS statistical software with which the analyzes were carried out and the different statistical techniques were applied; with the information collected, a series of graphs were made that show the main findings found and the correlations between the variables under study.
