In this way, recognizing the dialectical element that took place between the history of life, the philosophical sources from which Freire was nourished and his emancipatory and libertarian project that he conceived through education, we intend to give account of these routes, which in turn we hope to provide an opportunity for the re-contextualization and reinvention of Freire's critical pedagogy.El presente artículo constituye un homenaje a la vida y obra del reconocido pedagogo brasileño Paulo Freire, así como una invitación a reencontrarnos con las contingencias históricas e influencias filosóficas que le llevaron a forjar una apuesta pedagógica, tal y como él mismo la caracterizara, eminentemente problematizadora, crítica y liberadora.
