A su vez, se llevó a cabo un análisis comparativo con América Latina y el Caribe, identificando los sectores que han destacado en inversión extranjera desde el año 2000 hasta el 2022. Como resultado, se proponen sectores alternativos a los tradicionales, como el minero y energético, destacando la agroindustria y el turismo. El objetivo es identificar oportunidades de inversión extranjera y adaptarse a las tendencias del mercado para mantener la competitividad.Within the framework of this research, we seek to analyze the key determinants that influence the decision to invest in Colombia. At the same time, a comparative analysis with Latin America and the Caribbean was carried out, identifying the sectors that have stood out in foreign investment from 2000 to 2022. As a result, alternative sectors to the traditional ones are proposed, such as mining and energy, highlighting agribusiness and tourism.
