Repositorio Institucional.http://hdl.handle.net/11634/59461El Centro Etnoeducativo Jassaichon, ubicado en Uribia, aborda los desafíos de acceso a la educación en la comunidad Wayúu, que enfrenta la falta de infraestructura básica, pobreza, desnutrición y barreras geográficas que dificultan el acceso a los centros educativos. Este proyecto surge de una investigación participativa y multidisciplinaria, en la que expertos en arquitectura y educación colaboran con la comunidad Wayúu para identificar y abordar sus necesidades específicas. El diseño arquitectónico del centro está inspirado en la tradición cultural Wayúu, utilizando materiales locales y sostenibles, y respetando la relación entre el espacio, la naturaleza y el modo de vida tradicional. El Centro Etnoeducativo integra la educación formal con la preservación cultural, promoviendo tanto la identidad como la cohesión social, en línea con los principios de la cosmovisión Wayúu. En un contexto postconflicto, el centro no solo mejora las oportunidades educativas en la región, sino que también fomenta la paz y la reconciliación. A través de técnicas de construcción tradicionales y un enfoque culturalmente relevante, este espacio contribuye al desarrollo social y económico de la comunidad, fortaleciendo su resiliencia y facilitando un proceso de sanación y reconstrucción social a través del acceso a una educación de calidad.The Jassaichon Ethno-Educational Center, located in Uribia, responds to the challenges of access to education in the Wayúu community, which faces lack of basic infrastructure, poverty, malnutrition and geographical barriers that make it difficult to travel to educational centers. This project arises from participatory and multidisciplinary research, in which experts in architecture and education work together with the Wayúu community to identify and address their specific needs. The architectural design of the center is inspired by the Wayúu cultural tradition, using local and sustainable materials, and respecting the relationship of the space with nature and the traditional way of life. The Ethnoeducational Center integrates formal education with cultural preservation, promoting both identity and social cohesion, in line with the principles of the Wayúu worldview. In a post-conflict context, the center not only improves educational opportunities in the region, but also fosters peace and reconciliation.
