Para llevar a cabo el estudio se utiliza datos diarios tomados de la base de datos del Banco de la República. La metodología empleada es el análisis de intervención de series de tiempo. Los resultados obtenidos demuestran que las acciones llevadas a cabo por la autoridad monetaria fueron exitosas para reducir los cambios del tipo de cambio nominal en Colombia.The objective of this work is to determine the effects of foreign exchange interventions on the exchange rate that have been adopted by the central bank in Colombia for the time period 2014-2016. To carry out the study is used daily data taken from the Banco de la Republica database. The methodology employed is the analysis of intervention on the time series.
