Por este motivo, esta apuesta investigativa se llevó a cabo desde el corte cualitativo, el cual se basa en la recolección y análisis de datos para construir e interpretar la realidad de los estudiados. Por ello, el investigador cualitativo parte de la premisa de que el mundo sociales “relativo” y sólo puede ser entendido desde el punto de vista de los mismos actores (Guardián, 2007). Bajo esta visión, se utilizó el método biográfico, donde, a través del lenguaje, podemos acercarnos al punto de vista del participante. En este sentido, se utilizó la historia de vida mediante el instrumento de recolección de información: entrevista a profundidad, dado que el interés investigativo se centra en conocer el proceso de transformación corporal a lo largo de la vida del participante y así conocer las narrativas e interpretaciones que realizan los participantes en relación con cómo estos construyen y experimentan su realidad. Se realizó un muestreo por conveniencia, dado que se necesitan participantes con ciertas características, las cuales consistieron en: hombres y mujeres transexuales de la ciudad de Bogotá, quienes hayan cumplido la mayoría de edad y hayan culminado o estén en el proceso de tránsito; esto con el fin de comprender la construcción narrativa sobre las emociones involucradas en el proceso de transformación corporal transexual (sin importar su sexo, orientación sexual, raza, credo, origen, u oficio, entre otros). Cabe resaltar que el estudio desarrolló seis procedimientos, los cuales consistieron en: recolección de información, metodología y elección del instrumento de recolección de datos, acercamiento a los participantes, aplicación del instrumento y por último análisis y devolución de resultados; esta fase se llevó a cabo por medio del análisis de contenido, permitiendo así, comprender la realidad de los estudiados frente a las categorías propuestas, donde se identifica que existe una estrecha correlación entre cada una de ellas, puesto que una afecta a la otra. En este sentido, se observo que las emociones resultan afectadas por la percepción que tienen los estudiados frente a sus cuerpos y así mismo representan un aspecto importante para rectificar y construir su identidad de género.The present study aims to understand the narrative construction on the emotions involved in the process of transsexual body transformation. For this reason this research commitment was carried out from the qualitative cut, which is based on the collection and analysis of data to build and interpret the reality of the studied. Therefore, the qualitative researcher starts from the premise that the social world is a “relative” and can only be understood from the point of view of the actors themselves (Guardian, 2007). Under this vision, the biographical method was used, where, through language, we can approach the point of view of the participant. In this sense, the life history was used through the instrument of information gathering: in-depth interview, given that the investigative interest is focused on knowing the process of corporal transformation throughout the life of the participant and thus knowing the narratives and interpretations made by the participants in relation to how they construct and experience their reality. Sampling is done for convenience, since participants with certain characteristics are needed, which consisted of: transgender men and women from the city of Bogotá, who have reached the age of majority and have completed or are in the process of transit; this in order to understand the narrative construction on the emotions involved in the process of transsexual body transformation (regardless of sex, sexual orientation, race, creed, origin, or trade, among others). It should be noted that the study developed six procedures, which consisted of: information collection, methodology and choice of data collection instrument, approach to the participants, application of the instrument and last analysis and return of results; this phase was carried out by means of content analysis, thus allowing us to understand the reality of those studied in front of the proposed categories, where it is identified that there is a close correlation between each of them, since one affects the other.
