Este proyecto de investigación pretende indagar en la historia cultural artística de Villavicencio como un camino difuso, lleno de vacíos temporales, donde la poca sistematización de los datos y la información ha sido un punto clave para que la población desconozca la historia que la precede. El principal objetivo de la investigación es rescatar la memoria de los hitos urbanos de corte artístico que lograron configurar el territorio y sus dinámicas, para así dignificarla en una serie de estrategias para la recuperación en el trazado físico que nos demuestran estos espacios a lo largo de Villavicencio. Para esto, la búsqueda de archivos y documentos bibliográficos, fotográficos, filmográficos y periodísticos es pertinente a fin de entender la manera en que se relata la historia de Villavicencio desde el enfoque cultural artístico y sus perspectivas. Igualmente, entendiendo las características cualitativas y exploratorias de la investigación, se genera una serie de entrevistas tanto a expertos en el campo cultural de Villavicencio como a personas que lograron ser espectadoras del cambio de la ciudad, el abandono de espacios y el nacimiento de otros.Villavicencio has been a territory of continuous transmutation, precisely because of the changes to which it has been subjected in recent decades in relation to population density, the occupation of the city and the way in which the inhabitants carry out their dynamics throughout the year. territory. For this, it is necessary to establish the existence of bibliographic, photographic, filmographic and journalistic archives and documents in order to understand how the history of Villavicencio is told from the cultural-artistic approach and from what perspectives it is mentioned.
