Fundado como pueblo de indios, en general mantiene sus características iniciales de conformación espacial y arquitectónica, habiendo muy pocas variaciones. En la actualidad, el Centro Poblado presenta dos situaciones preocupantes; la problemática socio económica pues se percibe que en la población hay una disminución de la calidad de vida por falta de ingresos y la carencia de una normativa planificada y orientada a la protección y preservación de su estructura urbana. En vista del constante ejercicio de modificación al espacio privado en el corregimiento de Guane, además de la naciente demanda de construcción en los lotes que se encuentran en los alrededores, se propone en la presente investigación, generar la manera de proteger el espacio privado aun no intervenido y rescatar el parcialmente intervenido, encaminándose a la recuperación y conservación del centro poblado, generando un registro de lo existente, en forma de inventario tipológico, con el que mas adelante se pueda contar para la creación de una norma protectora para el centro poblado de Guane.The populated center of Guane located in the municipality of Barichara - Santander, is the urban center of the Guane Corregimiento. Founded as a village of Indians, in general it maintains its initial characteristics of spatial and architectural conformation, with very few variations. At present, the Town Center presents two worrying situations; the socio-economic problem because it is perceived that in the population there is a decrease in the quality of life due to lack of income and the lack of a planned norm oriented to the protection and preservation of its urban structure.
