The methodological plurality goes beyond the interrelation of quantitative and qualitative techniques since it also allows us to reflect on the interaction between the personal and professional trajectory of the researcher in the approach and analysis of the object of study. The objective of this article is to analyze this cross-linking based on the results of the doctoral research developed by the author. The autoethnography resource was used to try to understand the role that reciprocity has in the relations between tenants and landlords living in a popular neighborhood of Bogotá, Colombia.
