Boletín bibliométrico USTA - No. 1 (2019)

La Universidad Santo Tomás en sus 439 años de vida e historia se ha caracterizado por el Pensamiento humanista cristiano de Santo Tomás de Aquino que destaca a sus profesionales como articuladores de la verdad y los saberes con impacto y pertenencia social para el desarrollo del país. Desde hace tres años la Vicerrectoría Académica General y la Dirección de Investigación e Innovación Sede Principal incluyeron en su Plan Estratégico acciones para mejorar la visibilidad e impacto del nuevo conocimiento generado por estudiantes, docentes, investigadores, grupos de investigación y administrativos. Esto generó un marco institucional orientado por la creación de la Política de Investigación de la Universidad y un ecosistema digital con plataformas, redes y buenas prácticas en lo denominado como Ciencia 2.0 y 3.0. En este sentido, en 2017 gracias al trabajo mancomunado y colaborativo entre dependencias, sedes y seccionales se crea el Observatorio de Cienciometría USTA con el objetivo de establecer una ventana de captura y análisis de información cualitativa y cuantitativa de la Universidad publicada, indexada y/o disponible en diferentes medios o soportes. Con el lanzamiento del Boletín Bibliométricos USTA anualmente esperamos entregar un insumo de análisis y reflexión para toda la comunidad académica de la USTA y del país. En su contenido se abordan los resultados de las publicaciones de la Universidad en la corriente principal (Scopus y WOS) y alterna (Scielo y Redalyc). Además, se analiza el comportamiento de los índices de citación de autores en Google Académico. En lo relacionado con las publicaciones periódicas de la Universidad se recolectaron datos desde 2010, se aplicó el índice “Factor impacto” y se asignaron cuartiles a las revistas tal como se realiza en rankings internacionales como Scimago y Journal Citation Report. Finalmente, se explora el comportamiento del repositorio institucional y el impacto que ha tenido desde su implementación en 2015. Cada apartado de esta publicación reconoce los autores, docentes e investigadores USTA que han logrado los indicadores bibliométricos más altos para resaltar su esfuerzo y dedicación.

Abstract

The Universidad Santo Tomás in its 439 years of life and history has been maintained by the Christian humanist thought of Saint Tomás de Aquino that highlights professionals as articulators of truth and knowledge with impact and social belonging for the development of the country. For three years, the General Academic Vice-Chancellor and the Directorate of Research and Innovation Headquarters included in its Strategic Plan actions to improve the visibility and impact of new knowledge of students, teachers, researchers, research and administrative groups. This generated an institutional framework oriented towards the creation of the Research Policy of the University and the digital ecosystem with platforms, networks and good practices in what is known as Science 2.0 and 3.0. In this sense, in 2017 thanks to the joint and collaborative work among the dependencies, headquarters and sectional, the USTA Scientology Observatory is created with the objective of establishing a qualitative and quantitative capture and analysis window of the University, indexed and / or Available in different media or media. With the launch of the USTA Bibliometric Bulletin we will see the delivery of a report of analysis and reflection for the entire academic community of the USTA and the country. In its content the results of the publications of the University in the mainstream (Scopus and WOS) and alternate (Scielo and Redalyc) are addressed. In addition, the behavior of the citation indexes of authors in Google Scholar is analyzed. In relation to the University's periodicals, data was collected since 2010, the "Impact Factor" index was applied and the quartiles were assigned to the journals as is done in international rankings such as Scimago and Journal Citation Report. Finally, it explores the behavior of the institutional repository and the impact that we have had since its implementation in 2015. Each of this publication recognizes the USTA authors, teachers and researchers who have achieved the highest bibliographic indicators to highlight their effort and dedication.
