This document reflects an analysis of the company Language Home Salento, which is located in the municipality of Salento Quindío, which is responsible for offering Spanish and English classes both in person and virtually to locals and foreigners, since this municipality is an important sector of tourism within the department. The municipality presents a great example of the culture of the region and is also located a few minutes from the Natural Park cocora valley, it is an entry point for different natural activities such as the snow-capped mountain of Ruíz, among others.
The research aims to determine strategies that allow the company a greater reach at a national and international level, because the size of the municipality forces the company to look for more customers in other sectors of the world, determining through marketing the best platforms and strategies to achieve a better positioning at the national level.
The accelerated urbanization of the 21st century has intensified environmental, economic, and social challenges that threaten urban sustainability and human well-being. This phenomenon, marked by the loss of green spaces, has exacerbated the heat island effect, surface runoff, and atmospheric pollution. In this context, green walls emerge as a sustainable strategy to mitigate these impacts. This study analyzed the technical and economic feasibility of implementing green walls at the Doctor Angélico Campus of Santo Tomás University, within the framework of sustainable development.
Through climatic and structural diagnostics, the western terraces of the campus were identified as optimal areas for installation. The methodology combined supplier quotations, Benefit Transfer (adjusted for Purchasing Power Parity -PPP- and Consumer Price Index -CPI-) to monetize ecosystem services, and a financial analysis using Net Present Value (NPV) and Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR) indicators, under a 50-year horizon and a 5.06% discount rate. The results revealed an NPV of $9,083,792,482 COP and a BCR of 19.55, demonstrating that for every peso invested, 19.55 pesos are recovered in socio-environmental benefits. In the sensitivity analysis, two scenarios were projected: one with tangible benefits for the university and another with a 50% reduction in environmental benefits. The first yielded a negative NPV, while the second showed positive profitability, highlighting the project's dependence on the valuation of all ecosystem services and its vulnerability to overestimated benefits. The implementation of green walls on campus is not only technically viable but also enhances environmental quality, strengthens the institution's sustainability-oriented image, and enables opportunities for environmental certifications and urban greening funding programs. This study reinforces the importance of integrating green infrastructure into university planning as a resilience mechanism against contemporary urban challenges.

Bancolombia Group is one of the leading financial institutions in Colombia and Latin America, with over 146 years of experience in the banking sector. Its presence extends to several countries, including Panama, Guatemala, and El Salvador, and it is recognized for its focus on innovation, and customer experience enhancement. (Conócenos | Grupo Bancolombia, n.d.) The problem identified in this study lies in the difficulty of accurately measuring the growth of the Foreign Currency business within Bancolombia's Corporate Banking Vice Presidency due to the volatility of the Representative Market Rate (TRM). Currently, transactions are conducted in U.S. dollars, but their analysis is performed in Colombian pesos, potentially causing distortions in financial performance assessment.
The objective of this proposal is to implement the CreSER tool in the Foreign Currency Management department to enhance measurement accuracy and business growth analysis in dollar terms. It aims to consolidate key financial indicators such as commercial size, placements, deposits, commissions, and GCAR into a single report. The method involves integrating CreSER as an analytical solution that enables detailed financial performance tracking, facilitating strategic decision-making based on precise and up-todate information.
The expected results include greater clarity in business performance measurement, optimization of commercial planning, and improved decision-making within the Corporate Banking Vice Presidency.
Estrategia de optimización y mejora en la gestión del registro fotográfico para el área de exportaciones en Ajover Darnel
(Universidad Santo Tomás, 2025-04-11) Buitrago Salgado, Zharick Tatiana; Quintin Lizcano, Lady Viviana; Universidad Santo Tomás
This professional practice project addresses a key logistics process within Ajover Darnel, with a particular focus on the export sector. This analysis examines its structure, operation, and opportunities for improvement, identifying elements susceptible to optimization through more efficient technological tools and methodologies.
Among the main challenges identified are the management of photographic records and document organization, important aspects for ensuring the verification and traceability of shipments. Poor management of this visual documentation can lead to errors, hinder internal communication, and lengthen response times to audits or customer requests. The lack of a standardized system for capturing, storing, and classifying images generates inconsistencies that affect process efficiency.
To overcome these limitations, we propose implementing technological tools aimed at improving image capture and organization. This strategy seeks to automate the collection, storage, and access to visual information, ensuring greater control and traceability in export processes. This solution is expected to contribute to strengthening the area's operational efficiency and foster continuous improvement within the organization.
