Tendencia en la satisfacción del paciente con la ruta integrada de revascularización miocárdica

Abstract

Introduction: The care of a patient is a cross to the institution´s process, which involves multiple actors, sites, and elements of the institution will contact the patient, generated an experience that results in satisfaction rating. The objective was to determine the annual trend and aggregated in assessing patient satisfaction was treated under the model of clinical pathway for surgical myocardial revascularization in the Fundación Cardioinfantil - IC between January 2012 and December 2015. Methods: Analytical observational cohort study, secondary data source. Trend analysis was performed using the Mann-Kendall and an extension of the Wilcoxon rank-sum. To compare the results of 2015 with the aggregated of the years 2012 to 2014 was made a comparison of annual medians with Mann Whitney test. Results: 859 patients analyzed during the study period. There were no differences in the operating characteristics of the patients except for a reduction of 1 day stay in the intensive care unit (p = 0.0001). The average satisfaction for the study period was 4.9 with a trend analysis showed homogeneity (p = 0.48). Conclusions: The measurement of patient satisfaction should be done through a rigorous process that includes all dimensions that allow the understanding of the patient experience in the care cycle.
