Es una pregunta planteada por Carlos Eduardo Maldonado a propósito del tema del Congreso de Humanidades: “Pensar las humanidades”, celebrado en octubre de 2012 en la Universidad santo Tomás, Bogotá. El eco de la pregunta resuena una vez se considera que las decisiones fundamentales de la humanidad ya no son tomadas por las ciencias humanas, sino por las instituciones.
