Virus del papiloma humano y cáncer bucal. Análisis bibliométrico

Abstract

Content: The bibliometric analysis is a fundamental instrument that allows to assess the scientific dynamics to obtain knowledge and impact of a research, identify trends and increase knowledge in a specific topic. Methodology: It is a bibliometric study, which is within the category A of tertiary source, since for the realization of this would be used as information material physical or virtual guides containing information from the study. Results: The research trend is led by the British Journal of Cancer, Head and Neck, International Journal of Cancer, Journal of Clinical. Cross-sectional studies were found in 42 % of the sample, followed by cases and controls that would represent 22 %. It is observed that the country with the greatest collaboration is the United States, with 39 publications in the network, and it also leads the research carried out in this field, with 62 publications, followed by Italy and Spain. It should be noted that the United States shower 39 publications in networks with different countries and 2 of them are made with Colombia. It is also evident that HPV type 16 is mentioned in 99 publications of the articles related to oral cancer, likewise the HPV sub type 18 virus is mentioned in fewer publications.
