dc.descriptionObjetivo: Determinar el porcentaje y los factores que influyen en el éxito endodóntico en los tratamientos convencionales realizados por los residentes de Endodoncia de la Universidad Santo Tomas en la Clínica de la Federación Odontológica Colombiana durante el periodo 2013 a 2017. Métodos: se realizó un estudio observacional retrospectivo con una muestra de 74 tratamientos endodónticos convencionales a los cuales se les realizó examen clínico y evaluación radiográfica para determinar el éxito endodóntico, fracaso o indeterminado Resultados: El 79,7%(59) tratamientos fueron exitosos, 9,46%(7) fracaso y 10,81%(8) indeterminados, y según el análisis estadístico no se encontró relación entre las variables evaluadas y el resultado final del tratamiento. Conclusión: El 79,7% de los tratamiento endodóntico realizados por los residentes del posgrado de endodoncia de la universidad santo durante el periodo 2013 -2017 presentó éxito endodóntico.spa
dc.description.abstractAim: To determine the percentage and the factors that influence on the endodontic success of the conservative treatment performed by University Santo Tomas posgraduate endodontic program in the Colombian Dentistry Federation Clinic for the period between 2013 - 2017. Methods: an observational retrospective study was made with a sample of 74 conservative endodontic treatments who underwent clinical examination and radiografic evaluation to determine the endodontic success or failure, or uncertain outcome. Results: 59 treatments (79, 7%) were successful, 7 treatments (9,46%) were failures and 8 were uncertain (10, 81%). According to the statistical analysis any relationship could not be found between the evaluated variables and the final outcome of the treatment. Conclusion: 79,7% of the endodontic treatments made by endodontics graduate students of University Santo Tomas for the period between 2013 – 2017 showed endodontic success.spa
