dc.descriptionLas enfermedades cardiovasculares (ECV) son consideradas un problema de salud pública, por ser la primera causa de muerte a nivel mundial según la OMS. Puede afectar a personas mayores por condiciones fisiológicas propias del envejecimiento, teniendo en cuenta que en la actualidad la población se enfrenta a un fenómeno de transición demográfica lo que quiere decir que la población adulta mayor aumentara con el paso de los años, por tanto es necesario reorientar el abordaje de estas, teniendo en cuenta las particularidades de cada una de las personas, destacando la importancia de las experiencias y vivencias que resultan ser una herramienta útil a la hora de establecer la prevención y el mantenimiento de estas patologías. Este ensayo se elaboró a partir un método de investigación cualitativo conocido como metaestudio, surge como una reflexión basada y sustentada en una búsqueda amplia de literatura científica y tiene como propósito describir las experiencias y vivencias en profundidad de personas mayores con ECV. Lo que permitió dar cuenta de cómo ellos experimentan cambios que transforman su percepción y estado de salud, del cual no retornan, interrumpiendo de manera inesperada su vida y además se destaca el papel fundamental de los profesionales de salud, quienes se convierten en la esperanza de vivir mejor.spa
dc.description.abstractCardiovascular diseases (CVD) are considered a public health problem, as they are the leading cause of death worldwide according to the WHO. It can affect older people due to physiological conditions typical of aging, taking into account that the population is currently facing a phenomenon of demographic transition, which means that the older adult population will increase over the years, therefore it is necessary to reorient the approach of these, taking into account the particularities of each one of the people, highlighting the importance of the experiences and experiences that turn out to be a useful tool when establishing the prevention and maintenance of these pathologies. This essay was developed from a qualitative research method known as a meta-study, it arises as a reflection based and sustained on a broad search of scientific literature and its purpose is to describe the in-depth experiences of older people with CVD. What allowed to account for how they experience changes that transform their perception and state of health, from which they do not return, unexpectedly interrupting their lives and also highlights the fundamental role of health professionals, who become the hope of live better.spa
