The evil constituted one of the problems that most stung the thought of the French philosopher Paul Ricœur, so this article tries to account for the depth of this reflection in light of a also theological topic: the idea of original sin and its relationship with human freedom. In approaching this analysis, it is intended to account for the fruitful dialogue that Ricœur established with theology from philosophy to problematize the question of free will and its counterpart: the servant-will. The thematization of these questions is framed within the Philosophy of the Will. The voluntary and the involuntary and The conflict of interpretations, seeking to relax the complicated relationships between religion and philosophy.
