dc.descriptionThis is a historical analysis of the role of the University of Santo Tomás played in the independence of ourcountry, from the precursor ideas of Independence, until the suppression in 1826, which was beneficialto the Santander Central University, and then its gradual recovery and academic strengthening until therestoration of 1855. We try to show, on the occasion of the commemoration of the Bicentennial of Independence,what lessons can still be received from our institutional memory.en

Se intenta discernir, con ocasión de la conmemoración del Bicentenario de la Independencia, qué lecciones podemos recibir aún de nuestra memoria institucional.es
