dc.descriptionThe jungle or the tropical humid forest is a fundamentally biological concept that expresses biodiversity and, therefore, wealth that in this century is easily reduced to units of change such as, for instance, the money. More than half of the wood consumed in Colombia was extracted from the Pacific Coast. Currently the wealth for the Afro-descendant groups of the Bajo Calima is its culture and traditional forms of production, because from the biodiversity and the economic value derived from it, it is quite a lot what they have been subtracted. The article analyzes the participation and distribution of the economic and natural wealth from biodiversity has not brought development for the region.en-US
dc.descriptionLa selva o el bosque húmedo tropical es un concepto fundamentalmente biológico que expresa biodiversidad y, por lo tanto, riquezas que en este siglo son fácilmente reducidas a unidades de cambio como, por ejemplo, el dinero. Más de la mitad de la madera consumida en Colombia se extraía de la Costa Pacífica. En la actualidad, la riqueza para los grupos afro-descendientes del Bajo Calima son su cultura y formas tradicionales de producción, porque de la biodiversidad y del valor económico derivado de ella, es bastante lo que les han sustraído. En el artículo se analiza las razones por las cuales la participación y distribución de la riqueza natural y económica a partir de la biodiversidad no ha significado un desarrollo para la región.es-ES
