Se hace un recuento general de los eventos y causales que dan lugar al reconocimiento de personería jurídica en favor de los partidos y movimientos políticos en Colombia, con especial énfasis en los cambios normativos y jurisprudenciales registrados en los últimos años. Al efecto se examinan las normas constitucionales y legales, la doctrina del Consejo Nacional Electoral y la jurisprudencia de la Corte Constitucional y el Consejo de Estado.
This paper provides a general account of the events and causes that led to the recognition of legal status for political parties and movements in Colombia, with particular emphasis on the regulatory and jurisprudential changes that have occurred in recent years. To this end, it examines constitutional and legal norms, the doctrine of the National Electoral Council, and the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court and the Council of State.
