El presente informe tiene como objetivo establecer un modelo integral para el control, valoración y registro contable del activo biológico forestal en la empresa objeto de estudio, desarrollado durante el periodo aproximado de la ejecución de la pasantía. Este modelo busca reflejar con precisión la realidad operativa de las plantaciones, garantizar el cumplimiento de las Normas Internacionales de Información Financiera (NIIF) y optimizar la toma de decisiones estratégicas dentro del ciclo productivo forestal. La metodología aplicada combinó observación directa en campo, capacitación con el área forestal, análisis documental y revisión contable, permitiendo evidenciar la desconexión existente entre los procesos operativos y su reconocimiento financiero. Entre los principales resultados se destaca la integración entre el área forestal y el área contable, la estandarización del lenguaje técnico-operativo y la creación de una herramienta en Excel que automatiza el control del activo biológico, el inventario y el costeo. Esta propuesta permitió mejorar la calidad, precisión y oportunidad de la información financiera, fortaleciendo la trazabilidad de los datos y consolidando una gestión contable más eficiente, transparente y alineada con la dinámica productiva del sector forestal.
Abstract
This report aims to establish a comprehensive model for the control, valuation, and accounting of forest biological assets within the company under study, developed during the approximate period of internship execution. This model seeks to accurately reflect the operational reality of the plantations, ensure compliance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and optimize strategic decision-making within the forest production cycle. The applied methodology combined direct field observation, training with the forestry department, documentary analysis, and accounting review, which made it possible to identify the existing disconnection between operational processes and their financial recognition. Among the main results, the integration between the forestry and accounting areas stands out, as well as the standardization of technical-operational language and the creation of an Excel tool that automates the control of biological assets, inventory, and costing. This proposal made it possible to improve the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of financial information, strengthen data traceability, and consolidate a more efficient, transparent, and aligned accounting management system with the productive dynamics of the forestry sector.
