En el marco del espacio académico Education and Multicultural Societies de la maestría en ambientes bilingües de aprendizaje, el módulo titulado, Rethinking the framework for 21st century bilingual education, tiene como objetivo dirigirse a las acciones de cambio en los procesos educativos que involucran el bilingüismo. En este sentido se analizan barreras y dificultades que caracterizan la dinámica educativa en el siglo 21 para luego invitar a los miembros de las diferentes comunidades a generar contribuciones que reconfiguen los ambientes bilingües de aprendizaje, en términos de la diversidad sociocultural. Entre las dimensiones a resaltar se identifica la igualdad en virtud de las comunidades con una lengua minoritaria, la diseminación de comunidades bilingües y plurilingües, a través de la educación y la participación de académicos que puedan además de generar acciones de cambio, diseminar los aportes y las características de estas comunidades.
Abstract
From the course Education and Multicultural Societies of the Master's degree in bilingual learning environments, the module entitled, Rethinking the framework for 21st century bilingual education, has the purpose of addressing actions for change in educational processes that involve bilingualism. In this sense, it analyzes the barriers and difficulties that characterize the educational dynamics in the 21st century and then invites members of different communities to generate contributions that reconfigure bilingual learning environments in terms of sociocultural diversity. Among the dimensions to be highlighted, equality and diversity are identified regarding the communities with minority languages. It is required to disseminate bilingual and multilingual communities through education actions and stakeholders’ participation to generate actions for change, disseminate the contributions and characteristics of these communities.
