Dados los riesgos que plantea la corrupción para los derechos humanos de millones de personas en América Latina, hoy se requiere de la adopción de medidas estándar de naturaleza internacional, de la generación de instrumentos definidos a nivel interamericano –ius commune anti corruption–, que incorpore las instituciones, los mecanismos y la legislación estándar que permita a los países de la región prevenir, detectar, sancionar y reducir a niveles tolerables los actos de corrupción, pero, sobre todo, represente una auténtica garantía de los derechos humanos a nivel regional.
Given the risks posed by corruption to the human rights of millions of people in Latin America, today requires the adoption of international standard measures, of the generation of instruments defined at the Inter-American level –ius commune anti-corruption is, that incorporates the institutions, mechanisms and standard legislation that allows the countries of the region to prevent, detect, sanction and reduce to tolerable levels acts of corruption, but above all, represent a genuine guarantee of human rights at the regional level.
