La convivencia constituye una dimensión sustancial de la práctica escolar y es una construcción educativa en permanente cambio que exige indagar por acciones pedagógicas, cooperativas y solidarias para su fortalecimiento. El objetivo de este artículo de revisión, es proporcionar un marco referencial sobre qué se entiende por clima escolar y cómo interviene en el desarrollo de la convivencia escolar. La búsqueda bibliográfica permitió comprender que el conflicto hace parte de la vida, entendiéndose éste como una consecuencia de la convivencia y a pesar que los seres humanos de manera innata están dotados de recursos para abordarlos, es importante que se fomenten estrategias y/o recursos didácticos para su resolución. Por lo que proponemos la conceptualización de la mediación como una estrategia para la resolución pacífica de los conflictos que se pueda generar en el ámbito educativo, todo esto desde la perspectiva de educación para la paz como un proceso educativo, dinámico, continuo y permanente que nos permita reconocer caminos para solucionar los conflictos de manera pacífica.
Coexistence is a substantial dimension of school practice and is a constantly changing educational building that requires searching pedagogical actions which should be cooperative and supportive in order to strengthen themselves. The aim of this review article is to provide a framework on school climate and how it is involved in the development of school life. The literature search allowed us to understand that the conflict is part of life, taken this as a consequence of the coexistence. Although human beings are innately gifted with resources to handle conflict, it is important to promote strategies and / or educational resources for its resolution. That is why we provide the conceptualization of mediation as a strategy for the peaceful resolution of conflicts that may arise in education, all of that from the perspective of peace education as an educational, dynamic, continuous and permanent process that allows us to recognize ways to solve conflicts in a peaceful manner.
