| dc.description | This article presents a bibliographic review of the novel Terra nostra by Carlos Fuentes, and brings about dialogues that show its relevance and its interdisciplinary relationship with philosophy, history, art, society and culture. The structural criteria distinguish these topics: (1) myth and identity, (2) relationships with the other, (3) image and memory, and (4) the reconstruction of what we are and will be. Time spans of eight years were taken into account, from the time of its publication, 1975, to the year 2015. The studies highlight the problems of Latin American identity, intertextuality, multiculturalism, and conquest; they reveal their relevance in the 21st century through miscegenation, the cultural traditions of the Old and the New World, and the other worlds; and they express the need to rebuild a new humanism. | en |
| dc.description | En este artículo se presenta una revisión bibliográfica de la novela Terra nostra, de Carlos Fuentes, y propicia diálogos que evidencian su actualidad y su relación interdisciplinar con la filosofía, la historia, el arte, la sociedad y la cultura. En los criterios estructurales se distinguen estas temáticas: (1) mito e identidad, (2) relaciones con el otro, (3) imagen y memoria, y (4) la reconstrucción de lo que somos y seremos. Se tuvieron en cuenta franjas temporales de ocho años, desde el momento de su publicación, 1975, hasta el año 2015. Los estudios destacan los problemas de la identidad latinoamericana, la intertextualidad, la multiculturalidad y la conquista; revelan su actualidad en el siglo XXI a través del mestizaje, las tradiciones culturales del Viejo y el Nuevo Mundo, y los otros mundos; y expresan, así, la necesidad de reconstruir un nuevo humanismo. | es |
