| dc.description | El rompimiento apical transitorio es una lesión moderada de la pulpa o una lesión combinada entre ligamento periodontal (PDL) y la pulpa en dientes con formación radicular completa; ocurre como resultado de un trauma inducido por fuerzas ortodónticas y/o trauma dentoalveolar en el que los tejidos traumatizados experimentan un proceso espontáneo de reparación de estas estructuras sin causar un daño permanente en la pulpa. Sus manifestaciones clínicas incluyen: alteraciones en la sensibilidad, cambio de color, reabsorción ósea u obliteración del conducto radicular. | dc.description | Transitory apical breakdown is a moderate injury of the pulp or a combined injury between periodontal ligament (PDL) and the pulp in teeth with complete radical formation. It happens as a result of a trauma induced by orthodontic forces and/or dentoalveolar trauma, in which the traumatized tissues experience a spontaneous process of repair of these structures without causing a permanent damage in the pulp. The clinical manifestations are alterations in sensitivity, change of color, root resorption, bony re-absorption or obliteration of the root canal. The purpose of this paper is to make a review about the more important aspects of the transitory apical breakdown. | en-US |
