Resumen

El objetivo de la monografía es estudiar la transición de los protocolos de red IPv4 a IPv6 en la Contraloría General de Boyacá (CGB). La organización necesita actualizar su infraestructura de red para mejorar la eficiencia, seguridad y capacidad de conexión de sus equipos y dispositivos, debido a la creciente demanda de servicios de red. La Contraloría General de Boyacá actualmente utiliza IPv4 en su infraestructura de red, pero esta tecnología está obsoleta y presenta limitaciones para satisfacer las necesidades actuales y futuras de la institución. Por lo tanto, se realizará un estudio para evaluar la posibilidad y los requisitos de la transición a IPv6, teniendo en cuenta las implicaciones técnicas, de costos y de gestión. Para llevar a cabo el estudio, se utilizará la metodología PRISMA, que consiste en una revisión sistemática de la literatura existente sobre las topologías de red vigentes, los componentes de la red y los protocolos IPv4 e IPv6. Esto permitirá identificar las mejores prácticas y lecciones aprendidas en la implementación de la transición a IPv6 en otras organizaciones similares. Con esta información, se podrá diseñar un plan de transición adecuado para la Contraloría General de Boyacá.

Abstract

The objective of the monograph is to study the transition from IPv4 to IPv6 network protocols of the Comptroller General of Boyacá. The organization needs to upgrade its network infrastructure to improve the efficiency, security and connection capacity of its equipment and devices, due to the growing demand for network services. The Comptroller General of Boyacá currently uses IPv4 in its network infrastructure, but this technology is obsolete and has limitations to meet the current and future needs of the institution. Therefore, a study will be conducted to evaluate the possibility and requirements of the transition to IPv6, considering the technical, cost and management implications. To make the study, the PRISMA methodology will be used, consists of a systematic review of existing literature on current network topologies, network components and IPv4 and IPv6 protocols. This will allow the identification of best practices and lessons learned in the implementation of the transition to IPv6 in other similar organizations. With this information, it will be possible to design an appropriate transition plan for the Comptroller General of Boyacá.
