Resumen
Los sistemas de salud en algunos países de América Latina actualmente están implementando reformas enfocadas en lograr la eficiencia y eficacia de la calidad de la prestación de sus servicios médico-asistenciales y alcanzar la equidad del sistema de salud pública en comparación con otros. Por lo cual la presente revisión bibliográfica permite identificar las principales características y elementos que establecen los sistemas de salud en Latinoamérica como lo son Argentina y Perú; dos sistemas compuestos por tres sectores: público, de seguridad social y privado con estructuras diferentes en relación con el colombiano. En este texto se describe y compara sus diferentes indicadores sectoriales y los actores involucrados en cada uno de ellos, características generales de la infraestructura de las instituciones prestadoras de salud, el ranking a nivel mundial donde les permite posicionarse su sistema de salud y cómo a partir de sus fortalezas y oportunidades de mejora se pueden implementar modelos que promuevan el crecimiento del sistema actual en Colombia.
Abstract
Health systems in some Latin American countries are currently implementing reforms focused on achieving efficiency and effectiveness in the quality of the provision of their medical-care services and achieving equity in the public health system compared to others. Therefore, this bibliographic review allows us to identify the main characteristics and elements that establish health systems in Latin America such as Argentina and Peru; two systems composed of three sectors: public, social security and private with different structures in relation to the Colombian one. This text describes and compares the different sectoral indicators and the actors involved in each of them, general characteristics of the infrastructure of health-providing institutions, the global ranking where their health system allows them to position themselves, and how from Based on its strengths and opportunities for improvement, models can be implemented that promote the growth of the current system in Colombia.
