dc.descriptionEste trabajo nace de la necesidad latente de contar nuestras propias historias y experiencias. Urge transmitir enriquecedores quehaceres de los arquitectos colombianos. El artículo presenta un resumen del capítulo correspondiente a la introducción de la vida delarquitecto, donde se realiza una exposición de modo preliminar al desarrollo del análisis de los proyectos y obras, de los acontecimientos que durante su vida han influido en sus procesos de diseño urbano - arquitectónicos. Se emplea la cronología desde su infancia, pasando por su período de formación académica hasta la edad adulta y su actividad profesional. El estudio de la vida del arquitecto aporta metodológicamente a la comprensión de la obra, tras el planteamiento de preguntas como: ¿De qué modo se ha llegado a esos resultados? ¿Cómo ha aportado e influido el entorno construido de forma inconsciente y no intencionada? ¿Cómo se valora el tejido urbano en el que crece y qué papel desempeñan las edificaciones tradicionales e históricas de la ciudad? ¿Cuáles relaciones improbables a primera vista quedan demostradas si comparamos fotografías de edificios y contextos con su obra? ¿Cómo encuentra su propio camino mirando al pasado y su historia? La introducción pretende vislumbrar posturas, configurando un catálogo de la vida y obra como componentes indisolubles en el estudio.ABSTRACTThis work is born from the latent need to explain our own histories and experiences. The main idea is give facts of the colombian architects. The article presents the corresponding chapter to the Introduction of the architect´s life, doing an exposition of the happenings that have influenced in his urban and architectonical design. The chronology begins from his infancy, then talks about his period of academic training, until the adulthood and his professional activity. The study of the architect’s life contributes methodologically to the understanding of his work, after asking questions such as: How have those results been reached? How has the built environment contributed and influenced unconsciously and unintentionally? How is the urban fabric in which he grows valued and what is the role of the traditional and historical buildings in the city? What improbable relationships at first sight are demonstratedby comparing photographs of buildings and contexts with his work? How does he find his own way looking to the past and its history? The introduction intends to glimpse positions, forming a catalog of his life and work, as inseparable components in the study.es-ES
